25-yo Adopted Man Reunited with Mother
To bring this story to life, we had a local producer coordinating the local crew throughout the 3 days of filming in Romania, while also working hand in hand with John Allen’s crew that traveled from Switzerland. Happy Day is a famous Swiss TV show airing since 2007, presented by the famous Röbi Koller.This time the story that Happy Day was following was starting somewhere in Romania, in a small remote town. For over 25 years Ivan had no idea about what happened to his mother, and had no connection to his biological family. But he was still curious about his origins.His adoptive parents have always been supportive towards his need to find his biological mother, but although Ivan traveled to Romania on his own in search of his family during the summer of 2021, he had no success in finding anyone or any info about his roots. That’s when his adoptive parents decided to send a letter to Happy Day hoping they might help.Fast-forward to early 2022 – Ivan arrived in Romania again, but this time together with his own family (he has an amazing wife and two lovely daughters) and also his adoptive parents to meet his birth mother. They finally met face-to-face in an emotional and exhilarating reunion and we were happy to be part of it all. The episode aired recently on Swiss TV and here is a glimpse of our contribution.

We started in Budapest, Hungary, and ended our shoot at the Dracula Castle in Romania. The challenging part is that Dracula’s Castle, located in a mountainous village called Bran, is a very touristic destination.However, due to our local collaborators, we managed to get the authorities in line with our goals and have an amazing shoot into the heart of Romania.We started this project long before the crew arrived in Budapest. Storytailors provided the initial research and outlined the story development of this episode. Thus, when Chris and his crew arrived in Budapest, we were ready for them and had everything in place, including the contributors.Everything went smoothly, thanks to our project manager, as well as our local collaborators who made sure that Chris and his team had a wonderful experience filming this episode.

Project Description
I discovered Storytailors through an online search and found that they were a great culture fit for our project. The competent personnel at Storytailors were instrumental in managing the budget for an Italian TV production crew shooting an episode in Finland. By collaborating with local enterprises and entrepreneurs, we were able to cut costs significantly and ensure the project stayed on track. Storytailors’ flexibility and problem-solving approach were key to the success of the production.
Pros
Storytailors demonstrated impressive listening skills, made payments on time, and had a positive and constructive approach to collaborating with us. While there is always room for improvement, I can’t pinpoint any severe mistakes that Storytailors made during our project. The minor mistakes that occurred were quickly addressed and did not significantly impact the overall quality of the production.
