Scottish Auto Cycle Union - Get Involved

We were asked by the Scottish Auto Cycle Union (SACU) to create a series of videos covering all of the motorsport disciples. The aim of the project was to attract new members to the over 50 motorsport clubs that are affiliated with the SACU. There is a discipline for everyone in motorsport however many people don’t know about them. So the SACU asked us to help solve this problem by bringing more awareness to the sport with a video marketing campaign. We did our research and put together a video strategy to create a miniseries featuring each discipline. We soon discovered that every discipline is so unique, from the slower paced Trails where the rider must complete an obstacle course to Road Race where riders are in a flat out race reaching speeds over 200mph! It was so important to make sure that every video gives an accurate representation of the disciplines with a focus on what makes them unique. For the next month we traveled to race circuits and tracks all around Scotland. We filmed interviews with the riders from all the disciplines and cut them down to provide the narrative of the videos. From the interviews it was clear that passion for motorsport was infectious and really helped drive the narrative of all the videos to encourage people to get involved.

Welcoming John Campbell to Lochlea Distillery

For this video we were engaged by highly respected marketing agency Spey to create a short video to announce John Campbell as the new production director at the Lochlea Distillery. John Campbell is a very well known and respected figure in the whiskey industry and played a major role in the success of Laphroig whiskey. It is very exciting that he is now part of the Lochlea team and they wanted to make a video to announce the news. The idea Spey had for the reveal was to make two short videos reminiscent of the Question of Sport Mystery Guest rounds where the guest would be filmed without revealing their faces and the panel had to try and guess who it was. We were asked to create two videos, one where John’s face would be revealed at the end which would be used to announce his new role at Lochlea. And a second video where he would remain unseen which would be used the week before the official announcement to keep the audience guessing who the new distiller might be.The videos were widley shared on LinkedIn and Instagram and the news of John Campbell joining the distellery was huge in whiskey circles. Lochlea plan to release their first ever whisky in early 2022, and another one later in the year. An exciting journey is just beginning. We are really pleased with how the video turned out and look forward to working with both Lochlea and Spey in the future.
