BOCA is the first dessert restaurant in Mexico City. Unlike traditional bakeries, Boca creates a unique sensory experience where the dish is the star of the day, and unlike traditional restaurants, Boca’s menu includes exclusively desserts that invite us to relearn and rediscover the way we enjoy them.The branding is present in the space from the first step given, from the logotype embedded in the pink concrete step at the entrance to the shelves and walls of the restaurant. To make this possible without an invasive feeling, we created a logotype based on basic figures that blend naturally with interior design.The graphic identity also includes carefree patterns of ink stains in golden finishes that reflect the creativity of the dishes and function as a complementary element within the restaurant, like in the shipping boxes that adorn the shelves. Casa Jardín is a mixed-use complex inspired by traditional neighborhood living. Designed by CPDA Arquitectos and located across the street from a park in the Escandón neighborhood in Mexico City, Casa Jardín is the ideal home to start a new life in a family. A life close to nature in the city was the main inspiration for the branding of this project. We used evocative colors in natural tones to give unity to the visual identity of the project.During the design process, we looked for this closeness to nature and green spaces to create a brand that differentiates from other real estate developments in the area. Chilaritos is a restaurant in Mexico City, specialized in a typical Mexican meal called “Chilaquiles”, this popular food is elaborated with fried corn tortilla pieces and accompanied by spicy sauce and cheese.For the visual identity of Chilaritos we took inspiration from Mesoamerican elements and Mexican pop culture to reinterpret them with a contemporary touch and thus generate our own language within the brand development that feels fun and casual.The biggest challenge was to find a name that would make a direct allusion to the word “chilaquiles” without falling into one of the thousands of uses and variations that other restaurnats have given to this word, thus was born Chilaritos, a casual and fun version of the original word.
Damián Lescas is an artist from Oaxaca, graduated from the School of Fine Arts of the Benito Juárez Autonomous University, and with a long and prominent career in the plastic arts. Among his artwork, we can find ceramic sculptures, engraved bronze, wood carvings, monotypes, and his famous oil paintings that are distinguished for being pleasant, with soft shapes and seductive colors. Master Lescas is a creator with a broad cultural background, who plays with mythological, historical, and anecdotal themes in his compositions. In his artwork, he often deals with themes such as gastronomy, wine, and eroticism.
