Backoffice Automation using Django & Celery
STORYSene was started by cousins Ray Li and Mark Zheng. A Clothing company that uses Artificial Intelligence to make custom pieces. Basically, SENE’s business is a sizeless fashionToday Sene is the first sizeless clothing company that has had success outside of men’s suits, making it accessible to all people. The company is backed by industry veterans, including leaders from Nike, Under Armour, and Li & Fung.PROBLEMSene’s production operations and orders were not automated and lacked tracking of shipments. Before SENE approached us they used an Excel file to store data for sizes, then they manually used the numerical and then gave the directions to the manufacturing for the production which was a very long and time-consuming process SOLUTIONWe automated Senes’s ordering with the manufacturers and streamlined their customer service and fulfillment. Implemented order tracking for shipments. When someone placed an order from Shopify it directly reached the production department for further processing. Further customization is ongoing to make the backoffice more automated.
Cheaper & Faster Customer Onboarding via DevOps
TokenOcean is an white-label NFT marketplace provider as well as a marketplace itself based on Bitcoin and Lightning NFTs.These guys were struggling with two things:1. How to find reliable engineers to handle the deployment and management of their infrastructure. 2. Unable to get visibility into their infrastructure and application performance and issues.Autonomous worked with them to understand their technology architecture and made it simple for TokenOcean to deploy their applications for their clients. While doing that we made sure to document the complete deployment processes, and helped them architect it for simplicity on GCP as their DevOps team. We then also deployed the ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) for them to get more observability on their deployments for their customers to guarantee their SLAs.
Data Pipeline Implementation & Data Extraction
Leagent provides realtors with a singular platform that serves as their website, CRM, and brand management solution.One critical feature for Leagent was to provide up-to-date real-estate listings on their platform. These listings had to be updated real-time and also be extremely performant when it came to search.Autonomous implemented a data pipeline to extract data directly from the relevant real-estate boards using the RETS standard. The data was extracted on a schedule, transformed using business rules and stored into a persistent database. The listings were then indexed into Elastic Search to provide sub-second query response times.Autonomous was able to reduce querying speed from 2 seconds to 200ms while giving complete control to Leagent on the data extraction.
Management & Growth for a News Media Platform
Founded by two entrepreneurs in Berlin, The Republic is a political news blog which required more technical support to manage, and subsequently grow.To be more specific, they needed: Website re-designAPI designMobile applicationAnalytics & SEOInitially, Autonomous took over the day-to-day management of the website, supporting the technology so founders could focus on the growth of the business via fundraising. Then, we engaged with The Republic to overhaul the User Experience, implement the new interface, and a re-architecture of the backend API in order to support future use-cases.The intent was to allow the founders to worry less about the tech and focus more on the growth of the business. Our engagement is ongoing as we continue to provide support via Analytics and Development.
