Page Speed Optimization

Challange: this website had various optimization issues. The overall speed grade was low, so it was necessary to identify and fix the most impactful elements.Identified issued:Theme Javascript files - Low ImpactThird party Javascript files - High ImpactLarge size images - Medium ImpactThe most impactful JavaScript library was the YouTube library. It generated and injected numerous scripts into the page. Our project covered a range of services, including:▶️ First, we optimized the images by reducing their size and compressing them as much as possible. (image optimization by reducing their size and compressing them as much as possible)▶️ Next, we needed to remove the scripts from the render blocking system by adding the “defer” and “async” attributes to the files. This ensures that they do not hinder the rendering process.▶️ Finally, we have eliminated the YouTube integration from the site and replaced it with Shopify video integration. This change was necessary due to the negative impact the YouTube library had on the site’s performance when combined with other scripts. Now, we can upload and showcase videos seamlessly on the frontend using the new integration.Result:the GTmetrix Grade increased from F to C. This metrics blends how fast your page performs (in terms of loading, interactivity, and visual stability) with how well it’s built for optimal performance. 70/30 weighting for the Performance and Structure Scores respectivelywebsite performance increased from 37% to 79%.
