We engineered a complete overhaul of Australia’s largest stock aerial photo library, filtering and reorganizing millions of pre-existing photos.Utilizing containerized microservices on AWS ECS and Lambda functions, we crafted a system that is stable, cost-effective, easy to maintain, and primed for scalability.This robust architecture proved invaluable during the 2021 Sydney Floods. Within hours we adopted the site to become the only real-time system where hundreds of aerial images from around Sydney were uploaded every minute. People from the affected areas used the site to locate their homes and property and see the damage the floods were causing. In less than 24 hours the site got over 1M visitors from around the world.

We implemented dynamic pricing logic that was not limited to the predefined products and combinations and enabled users on the site to mix and match ingredients, creating their own custom juices and salads.Since the bars operate locally, we developed an easy to use interface for defining delivery zones around each bar. User addresses are geocoded and matched against them to see if delivery is possibile and which store should fulfill the order.A configurable order routing procedure enables overriding the default store in peak hours and holidays.
