Our client, Mondly, based in Romania, entrusted us with an extremely demanding recruitment project. The task involved finding a highly specialized candidate for the role of a Senior Full-stack Developer, with competencies in Yii2, Ember.js, and AWS. Further compounding the challenge was the client’s constrained budget.One additional complexity was the five-stage recruitment process, one stage of which involved a task that required candidates to dedicate approximately 8 hours to complete. Despite the stringent requirements and complex process, we collaborated closely with our client to manage the process in the most effective and efficient manner possible.However, our options for making the offer attractive were greatly limited. A major advantage, though, was the option of 100% remote work. Therefore, we made a strategic decision to expand our search beyond Poland, to other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.The search took approximately six months, during which we recommended about 30 candidates. Among these, the ideal candidate - our ‘needle in a haystack’ - turned out to be a resident of Latvia. This successful placement was a significant achievement, considering it was one of the more challenging recruitment projects we have ever undertaken.
