The mission? To weave a platform capable of sifting through a digital mountain of documents – emails, scans, PDFs, you name it – using nothing but natural language queries. An innovative web application that enables comprehensive TCO analysis for electric vs. diesel trucks, considering all operational factors. ProblemFor many companies, transitioning from diesel trucks to electric vehicles is daunting due to uncertainty about the total cost of ownership (TCO). This is particularly complex because the TCO isn’t just about upfront costs; it also encompasses factors like charging infrastructure, subsidies, depreciation, maintenance, and environmental impact. SolutionWe developed an intuitive web application that offers a robust TCO model that enables users to compare battery electric trucks and diesel equivalents. It considers all the relevant cost factors such as vehicle chassis, body equipment, battery, fuel/energy costs, repair and maintenance costs, insurance costs, and even policy interventions such as purchase subsidies and tax reductions. It also factors in the cost of private charging infrastructure and calculates annual CO2 emissions. The app permits users to vary all these parameters to understand their influence on the price per kilometer, facilitating a comprehensive analysis for making well-informed decisions about fleet electrification.
