Today we’re sharing a case of implementing Power BI in fashion retail. What’s interesting about this case is that we had to start off on a platform created by someone else. The issues Helen Marlen Group faced:- The company already had a working BI that extracted data. But it often missed certain pieces of data, so the output needed frequent checks- In-house implementation didn’t quite work. The employee to whom the project was delegated didn’t fully master Power BI- The oursourcing team worked slowly and needed constant observation Here’s a list of what we did: Implementation- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards Dashboard design & development- Develop dashboards based on Power BI, Microstrategy BI, Power BI Report Builder- Redesign the existing dashboards- Brush up or redo the dashboards created by other companies and integrators- Support of the implemented business analytics system- Set up data automatic updates Integration & data management- Integrate Power BI with any IT systems- ERP data structuring for analytics reports- DAX data analysis & development Consulting- Consult regarding development and implementation of BI system and analytics ConclusionAll the planned works have been delivered in time and approved by the customer.Cobit Solutions currently carries out maintenance and designs new dashboards for Helen Marlen Group.

A ligistics company approached us with a challenging question. The problem:They had tens of thousands parcels each month, and some of them would get stuck.Obviously, the customers were unhappy with that, and unhappy customers means less money. With as much volume as they had, and their parcel tracking system at that time, pinpointing the problematic stage was impossible.Basically, the info on different parcels and different transitional stages would be stored in different ERP reports. Pinpointing the problems would take manual revision, with no guarantee that one wouldn’t miss the problem having to go through thousands of reports. What we offered:- dashboards to watch the delays and distractions in supply chains;- statistics on where the disruptions occur most often;- the cost of delays or distractionConclusionWe calculated the sum of money the company would have lost if they kept looking for the problem with their own hands. It amounted to hundreds of thousands of dollars over a couple of months - this is how much time it would’ve taken them to locate the problem. Thanks to Power BI the logistics company didn’t have to pay that much to find their problem.
