Project Description

Paramount Timber approached us in need of a video explainer, running through the process and benefits of their timber construction business. We used animation as a means to communicate their process and ideas in a visually engaging way, with a wood burn effect that grounded the explainer in the style of timber the brand is associated with.

Chesneys HEAT Outdoor Cooking

Chesneys were launching a range of products into a new market sector: outdoors. To achieve this effectively, they needed a robust content strategy to disrupt this established industry. They commissioned a series of promotional films to promote the features and benefits of the product, which combined a multifunctional BBQ cooking device and an outdoor heater into a single product. The films needed to appeal to a new, affluent audience who may not be familiar with the Chesney brand, but also link back to the reputation they have within the interiors market, where they are established market leaders in fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. To effectively promote the product to new and existing customer bases, we used lifestyle-focused promotional content to tap into the emotional connection people have with the outdoors, and the aspirational qualities of spending time with friends and family outdoors. The films we created for the product launch focused on 2 key selling points – eating and heating, with a film created specifically to target each element. We also produced social media content alongside their live PR events with their brand ambassador, James Martin, at Chelsea Flower Show and exclusive events hosted by the client.

JPS Renewable Energy - Animated Explainer

JPS Energy were expanding quickly into the electric car charger market alongside their existing solar panel installation business. They needed a film to answer many of the key questions that came in from potential customers, thus freeing up resources to allow them to meet the increasing demand for their products. Our approach used animation to help deliver key messaging to consumers in a clear and concise manner whilst also allowing elements of humour to come through which reflected the brand values of JPS Energy. The story takes the viewer on a journey covering many of the situations and areas of concern that customers have before committing to installing the charging products in their own home.

NHBC - LEGO Brick Film

The National House Building Council (NHBC) approached us to help tackle the national shortage of young people entering the house building trade in the UK.They wanted to promote a career in the industry to 15-16-year-olds who were deciding on potential jobs and further education. One of the main aim was to promote the vast array of career opportunities within the sector and remove the long held perception that house building just involved trades such as bricklaying. Our approach to the production was to use the concept of ‘everyone loves to build’ as the starting point. From there, we looked to the universal appeal of LEGO and created a concept of using LEGO characters and scenarios to build a world of industry careers where viewers could really get a sense of the scale of opportunities out there, all within an engaging and amusing set-up.The film uses stop motion scenes of LEGO figures in daily working scenes across different sectors, which are bookended with real-life scenes using drone footage of a new bird housing estate. All of the stop motion animations were produced in-house – aided by LEGO Master builder Gary Davis.
